Flute Extremes workshop concert

On Sunday June 22 at 2pm in Collier House on the University of Oregon campus, Flute Extremes will present a recital, free of charge. The recital will feature FluX faculty members Molly Barth and Kim Pineda on flutes, side by side with student participants of the workshop. The five student participants are Emily Potter, Erin Latham, Linda Jenkins, Christie Glaser and Chelsea Czuchra. These students will perform solos as well as chamber music.

University of Oregon Flute Studio Performance

Molly Barth and her students will present a fundraiser concert to benefit FOOD for Lane County. Repertoire will include works for flute duo by WF Bach, Hans Kohler, Anton-Bernard Furstenau, and Robert Aitken, as well as flute solos by Karlheinz Stockhausen, GP Telemann, Matt Zavortink and Janice Misurell-Mitchell.

Beta Collide!

A concert by the UO School of Music and Dance's new music faculty-ensemble-in-residence. Beta Collide artistic directors Brian McWhorter and Molly Barth will be joined by Atlanta-based percussionist Stuart Gerber, the Oregon Symphony's piccoloist Zachary Galatis, and the UO's own Shannon Mockli, Idit Shner, Pius Cheung, Chet Udell and John Davison. Repertoire will range widely in style, and will include works by by Mark Applebaum, David Lang, Stefan Wolpe, Pius Cheung, and Frederic Rzewski.
