The Blair Woodwind Quintet presents a spring concert that is sure to enchant and delight. French composer George Onslow’s Quintet is a masterpiece of melodic invention from the romantic era, while Malcolm Arnold’s Three Shanties are toe-tapping settings of sailors’ work songs. The ensemble also presents American composer John Harbison’s 1978 quintet, one of the most virtuosic and exciting works in the repertoire.
