Eugene Ballet with Orchestra Next: Peer Gynt

For the first time in our 38-year history, we present the dramatic and entrancing Norwegian tale of Peer Gynt. Bring your passport and journey along at Toni Pimble’s remarkable retelling of dramatist Henrik Ibsen’s play, as we follow Peer Gynt’s adventures through the real and surreal, across deserts and mountaintops. You’ll be immersed in our groundbreaking “virtual reality inspired” scenic design and Orchestra Next’s live performances of Edvard Grieg’s harmonic and theatrical score.

“This world premiere ballet moves uninhibitedly in time and space, blending folkloric fantasy and unsentimental realism with stunning visuals and the unmistakable music of Grieg played live by Orchestra Next.”
